The new Advanced Vestibular Certification pathway

After more than 28 years working with neurological and vestibular patients in the community, and nearly two decades teaching clinicians in this area, I've become increasingly passionate about one thing:

Getting the best and most useful information into the hands of the clinicians who can actually make a difference.

There is an enormous amount of vestibular science available. But the challenge for clinicians isn't simply having more information, which can over-complicate and over-specialise vestibular practice. The key is knowing what matters, how to interpret it, and how to translate it into better assessment and rehabilitation for the person sitting in front of you.

That's been the motivation behind developing our new Advanced Vestibular Certification Pathway.

I've tried to bring together the clinical lessons, neuroscience, research, practical techniques and emerging technologies that I believe genuinely help clinicians manage vestibular patients better—from complex BPPV and persistent dizziness through to concussion, paediatrics and neurological rehabilitation.

And I've deliberately made the pathway flexible. Clinicians can choose the advanced virtual days most relevant to their practice, alongside our two-day face-to-face practical course. For those who would like the recognition for more advanced training, they can complete the full certification. I believe it's important for clinicians to be confident with skills they'll be using regularly, and for more complex or rare scenarios, have information that is quickly accessible and usable in the future.

Over the next few weeks, I'll share more about what's included, why I've chosen particular topics, and some of the clinical lessons behind them.

2 days Assessment & Management of the Dizzy Patient

Face-to-face certified Practical Vestibular Course

3 'Virtual days' Advanced Vestibular Modules

Total: 3 Virtual days (flexible online delivery)

 However it's totally flexible.  You may already be quite confident in some areas and just want to do one of the virtual days,  or two.  Whatever you need.  We understand that you are busy and time is valuable.
